This page outlines some of the core features of Cincom® ChannelStream™.

Inputs

  • No modification is needed for existing processes
  • Can be connected to any document management system
  • Automatic file recognition, format conversion and creation of indexes
  • Available for both batch and interactive production

Processes

  • Sorting, merging, splitting, grouping, stapling or envelope sequencing
  • Adding technical lines, bar codes, OMR, banners or data matrix
  • Handling attachments or specific printer background layouts
  • Supporting contracts with national carriers for postage optimisation
  • Statistics and dashboards
  • Black/white or colour, single-sided or duplex printing

Outputs

  • All channels are available one at a time or simultaneously.
  • When needed, the layout can be modified to match channel requirements.
  • Specific interfaces can be built upon request.

Outputs/Printers

  • Automatic management of printers and mail processing machines
  • Ability to manage trays, single-sided or duplex printing, black/white or colour printing, envelope document sequencing, envelope splitting, stapling of attachments, pre-printed attachments, post-office regulations (e.g. Tem’Post), batch sizes, etc.
  • ChannelStream will select the best method for document production based on the machine’s capabilities.

Outputs/Multi-channel

  • Except for the body of the document, all documents are attached to the e-mail (in PDF format).
  • Message bodies will be transformed into HTML pages.
  • Fax cover pages are automatically generated.
  • Indexes that are needed by the archiving system will be automatically provided with the documents.
  • Text messages (SMS) will be built based on a standard message that is personalized with the customer’s specific information.
  • E-billing capabilities will be developed to match the appropriate protocol.

ChannelStream Administration

  • The tool is managed through a thin-client interface.
  • The administrator can set up users, environments and resources and define workflow rules.
  • Schedules, dashboards and statistics can be accessed and exported for auditing or tracking of each single document produced.
